At its first presentation in May 1999 at the EMBAX PRINT, Graphic Art Fair in the Czech Republic, the first prototype of FOLIANT 520T was nominated as the best exhibit at the trade fair and awarded a Gold Embax Print 99.

Commercial success came immediately after its launch on the international market – after the DRUPA 2000 trade fair. Since then the FOLIANT Laminators have been shipped all around the world – USA, Canada, and Latin America, European countries, most markets of former USSR, North and South Africa, Near and Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. The manufacturer experienced similar success at the IPEX 2002 trade fair in Birmingham, UK and at the DRUPA 2004.

XEROX Product Validation Report The document company, XEROX, tested the FOLIANT lamination line. FOLIANT Machines were tested and were found to be compatible with XEROX DocuColor 2000 family and DC12, DC40. The product was endorsed and found to be acceptable as an off-line solution. The FOLIANT was also found compatible with the XEROX iGen3 digital press.The Product Validation Report is available for all customers upon request. Design Václav Král, the leading Czech industrial designer, is the covers and colours designer. The co-operation with the designer was fruitful – the machine attracted a number of customers at all presentations with its design and distinctive yellow color. For some of the customers, the first impression of the machine led to a positive response, resulting in their decision to purchase. Excellent Product of the Year In the international design competition titled EXCELLENT PRODUCT OF THE YEAR, held in April 2002 in Prague, the FOLIANT laminator was awarded the THE GOOD DESIGN 2002 title.
