FOLIANT Gemini 400

The newest class of our single sided laminating machines, FOLIANT Gemini 400 laminator represents the most efficient one of the 400-range laminating solution; the machine also forms a basis for a whole new model range with further configurations. The machine’s main feature is hydropneumatic pressure system in reinforced mechanism to achieve very high working pressure. Another important advantage of new Gemini 400 machines range is their fully modular construction – manual machine may be upgraded by separator and semiautomatic line may be upgraded by feeder at any time later. The machine grows with its owner!
Such machines were developed and are suitable especially for laminating sheets printed on Xerox digital printing machines and for large amounts of all other digital and B3 size offset machines printed material (due to the improved performance).
The possibility to use standard polypropylene film for both offset and all kinds of digital print (include Xerox copies using silicone-based oil toners) is a great advantage for this technology. Thus the lamination costs for digital print technologies are decreased significantly.
The size of the laminated sheets, which is based on the format of the latest digital printing machines, can reach up to 380 x 580 mm.

The review of new FOLIANT Gemini 400 machine configurations:

   1. The Manual Machine
With the manual machine, the output can reach up to 900 B3 size sheets an hour, FOLIANT Gemini 400 laminators are suitable mainly for laminating sheets printed on Xerox digital printing machines or for large amounts of allprinted material (due to the improved performance). The machine is supplied with a modular stand. The manual machine requires a minimum floor space of 74 x 117 cm. This manual machine may be upgraded by separator at any time later.

   2. The Semiautomatic Laminating Line
The new and more efficient FOLIANT Gemini 400 laminator can be supplied with a separator. Thus the customer obtains a semi-automatic line FOLIANT Gemini 400S with the same output of 900 B3-formatted sheets a minute. The set is supplied with a modular stand and a reception unit for storage of laminated sheets as standard. The semiautomatic machine requires a minimum floor space of 74 x 220 cm. This semiautomatic line may be upgraded by feeder at any time later.

   3. The Fully Automatic Laminating Line
The latest development and extremly productive, the FOLIANT Gemini 400A model based on the new heavy duty laminator is a fully automatic laminating line equipped with an automatic feeder and sheet separator. The automatic sheet feeder increases the machine´s output up to a maximum 1800 B3 sheeets per hour, and it is equipped with a deep pile feeder designd to accommodate a supply of paper up to 15 cm high. FOLIANT Gemini 400A is supplied with a modular stand and with a reception unit for storage of laminated sheets as standard. The machine requires a minimum floor space 74 x 280 cm.
